I find it funny that people were equating the battle between Bluray-HDDVD to the Betamax-VHS struggle of yore, when service providers like VUDU are now poised to snatch the golden idol away while everyone was preoccupied.

VUDU's willingness to explore product integration is a very smart move, and I really hope it doesn't stop here. DRM is an incredibly wily mistress, so I'm not sure if this is possible, but I think it would be awesome if VUDU could continue to reduce or eliminate the cost of entry and focus on providing digital content through VUDU capable products.

Imagining the ability to stream 1080p HD content from an iPhone, laptop, or even a VUDU-enabled hotel room gives me goosebumps.

Even if that's not possible though, just knowing that there's no disc for me to scratch up or lose makes me one happy go-lucky puppy.

Even more astounding when you consider I've had several conversations with Tony Miranz how Sutherland Gold was failing them. Not to mention, he also reached out to me last year with a potential employment opportunity to help Vudu spread the word. Didn't hear anything on Redux either. And I wonder why Emily stopped following me on Twitter a few months ago. How's a blogger supposed to react to that? :p
